photo (15)We began selling on eBay in 2002 as a hobby. As the years went along we sold various items here and there just for fun. It has always been our desire to have our own business, so when dad (Eric) was laid off from his job in 2012 we thought it was the perfect time to start. For awhile we struggled with what business to start that would be profitable and provide for our expenses. We started with a coffee business, called Faith Like Coffee, where we bought green coffee beans and fresh roasted it to order. We built a website, put our fresh roasted coffee on it, and thought surely the buyers would come. After all, coffee is one of the most popular drinks in America and the 2nd highest traded commodity! Well, it didn’t go as well as we dreamed. The coffee business became more of a ministry. So the search continued for a profitable family business.

Finally it hit us…

One day we received an email from eBay congratulating us on 10 years being an eBay seller. Duh!?! What were we doing spending all our time and energy trying to sell coffee on the internet when we could make more money, faster, selling stuff on eBay? Thus the journey began. We became aware of a local business in our home town of Hiawatha, Iowa. eBay has listed them as the largest clothing retailer on eBay! BHFO. With over 100 employees (at the time… they are much bigger now), a full warehouse and production facility, we thought if they can do it… why can’t we?
