How to Print Shipping Label for eBay Without a Sale
Being able to print a shipping label online is so much more convenient than standing in line at the post office! Many have wondered if they can print an eBay shipping label without a sale.
There is good news and bad news. You cannot print a shipping label on eBay without a sale and get the Commercial Plus pricing discount.
However, if you would like to print a shipping label, you can do so through PayPal without a sale. In fact, you can print any shipping label there, whether it’s related to eBay or not.
Below are some different scenarios for how to print a shipping label without a sale.
Print a Shipping Label in PayPal
When you go to paypal.com/shipnow you can easily print a shipping label for any purpose (not just related to eBay).
However, please remember that you will not receive any shipping discounts as you do for an eBay purchase. It doesn’t matter if you have a Business PayPal account or personal account.
Here’s how it works:
Go to paypal.com/shipnow
Sign in to your PayPal account
Fill out the Ship to address
Choose your Carrier (only UPS or USPS)
Choose your Service type (i.e. Ground, Priority Mail, Media Mail, etc.)
Select your Package type
Fill out Package weight and dimensions (if applicable)
Add any Additional details
Select your Mailing date
Calculate the shipping cost
Confirm and Pay

If you have a label printer, such as the Dymo 4XL, you can set up PayPal to format your labels for your thermal printer.
You may have been prompted to choose your printer settings when you first got to paypal.com/shipnow/. If not, you can go to settings and select your printer. Here’s how…
Click on the gear in the upper right (next to the Log out button)
Scroll down and click on Shipping on the bottom left (under the Products & Services heading)
Click on Update next to Shipping preferences
In the Shipping carrier section, click the Change printer type link
In the dropdown box, select your printer. If you use a DYMO 4XL, you won’t see the option for DYMO 4XL so choose one of the Zebra printers that show 4.0″x6.0″
Print Another Shipping Label in eBay
Perhaps, you simply need to print another shipping label for an item that you sold on eBay. This might happen if you have multiple packages for one sale. Or, maybe you realized that you forgot to send a part or component to the item they bought.
You can do this by going to My eBay, hovering your mouse over Orders, and click on Shipping labels.
Then locate the item that you would like to print another shipping label for (the easiest way to to know the item number).
On the far right of the column, click on Print Another Label. The screen will then pop up to purchase a label just as you did the first time.
