Getting Started With Your Dymo 4XL

When you get your Dymo Labelwriter 4XL, you should have a driver disc included in the box. However, not all computers have a CD drive anymore so you’ll need to download and install the driver from the Dymo website.

Follow the instructions in the installation process. Once the driver is installed you shouldn’t need to do anything else.

Printing USPS Shipping Labels from eBay on a Dymo 4XL

The first thing you need to do is change the printer settings within eBay. Unfortunately, I have not found a way to edit the printer settings without actually having a item to ship. You have to do it after you have a sale, when you’re purchasing the shipping label.

Open up the print shipping label screen.

Click on Printer and label receipt preferences in the upper right.

In the popup box, you will not find a setting for the Dymo 4XL. That’s okay, simply select Zebra LP2844 4×6 and the labels will print just fine.

Click the blue save button and you’re ready to go!

When your shipping label pops up to print, make sure that your printer is selected on DYMO LabelWriter 4XL and that your paper size is 1744907 4 in x 6 in (you may have to click More settings to see the paper size options).

And that’s it! Your USPS labels should print perfectly on your DYMO 4XL from eBay!

Printing USPS Shipping Labels from Etsy on a Dymo 4XL

Thankfully Etsy Makes it very easy to print shipping labels on a Dymo as well!

Printing USPS Shipping Labels from Poshmark on a Dymo 4XL

Printing USPS shipping labels from Poshmark on your DYMO 4XL is a little more tricky. Poshmark emails you shipping labels to you on a 8.5″ x 11″ format page. Therefore, you’ll need to use the DYMO software to get it down the 4″ x 6″. Here’s what you do.

Open up your shipping label from your email (this example is on Gmail but you can use any email client). Make sure the label is clearly visible on the screen and nothing is blocking it. You’ll be doing a screenshot so the entire label needs to be visible.

Next, you’ll need to open up your Dymo software.

In the dropdown box under Label Types, you need to select Shipping Labels. Scroll down and select the Extra Large Shipping 4″ x 6″ option. Lastly, select the large rectangle in the bottom right.

Next, you need to click the vertical rectangle with the A on it to change the layout to portrait. Then, click the Screen Grab button. You’ll then be redirected back to your web browser where the shipping label should be pulled up on your screen.

Click and drag your mouse and a red box will indicate what the software is grabbing to put on your label.

As soon as you let go of your click and drag, you’ll be directed to the Dymo software where you can click the drag the little blue lines to crop closer to the label. Click Insert when you’re done.

You’re label is going to pull in in a tiny little square. You’ll need to double-click inside the red box to pull up the properties. Click the Advanced tab and change the width to 4.00 and the height to 6.00. Click OK. Now your screen captured label will fit full size on the canvas.

Now your label is ready to print! Simply click the blue “Print” button and you’re ready to go!
